CENTRAL PARK
Eu finalmente estou postando fotos de Nova York! Fiquei alguns dias sem o lightroom para editar. Vou dividir as fotos em posts diferentes, porque são muitas fotos e eu amei todas elas, então quero postar todas.
Só tem uma palavra para descrever o que eu senti lá: Em casa. Livre. (Ok, foi mais do que uma palavra mas ainda sim… ^^ )
Espero que gostem das fotos! Estas são do Central Park. Um parque gigante que eu ainda a tarde toda e não o conheci inteiro! Adorei a vibe das pessoas, o sol quente na minha cabeça e como as pessoas estavam aproveitando o sol e a vida e o parque. NYC é uma cidade muitoo úmida no verão!
Finally I put up the NYC pics! I was a few days without lightroom to edit them…but better later than ever! I decided to split it in a few posts, because I took so many pics and I love all of them that I want share them all!
One word describes what NYC was for me: Fell at home. Freedom. (OK! It was more than just one word…but still ^^ )
So here is Central Park pictures. I loved this place, a huge park that I didnt see it all, even walking the entire afternoon! I loved the vibe of the place, the people enjoying the sun (So Damn hot above my head!) and everyone enjoying themselves…and NYC is so damn humid! What!

Westerlo, NY
Final de semana passado, fomos passar o dia nesse lugar, um pequeno vilarejo de Westerlo, perto de Albany. Fomos em um típico mercado de pulgas americano e depois fomos ver essa pequena trilha e cachoeira. Realmente a imensidão do lugar era incrível! Tão calmo e cheio de verdes. As vezes, quando ficamos muito presos a nossa rotina de cidade grande, esquecemos o quão bom é estar em meio a natureza. E aqui nos EUA, eles prezam muito isso. Espaços abertos, muito verde, tempo para explorar e cuidar dos jardins e fazer caminhadas. Acho que é por isso que eles moram muitas vezes, bem isolados das cidades. Um jeito diferente do nosso, e eu estou gostando cada vez mais.

Last wekeend we went to explore a little place called Westerlo, near Albany. We went to a true Flea Market and then, we made this trail and saw this tiny fall. It was all sorts of amazing, at least for me! All the greens and peace and calm moments, the clean air…We are so used to the hush of the daily lives that sometimes we forget how good it is to be in touch with the nature. I am starting to find this adventure side of me and loving it! I am finding it hard to just sit around in the weekends and not go explore. Hope you all enjoyed the pictures!
Oh, Troy!
Há um mês atrás me mudei para Troy, uma pequena cidade no estado de Nova Yorque, nos Estados Unidos da América. Vim para terminar meu doutorado na universidade aqui e bom, já se foram um mês dos sete que ficarei aqui!
Troy é uma cidadezinha pacata. Gostei muito daqui, apesar de alguns locais não gostarem muito…achei tudo muito diferente do Brasil, obviamente! A arquitetura principalmente! E o jeito de viver dos americanos, muito diferente do nosso também. O verão está chegando e a cidade está começando a se encher de vida e as pessoas estão bem receptivas! Acho que o inverno por ser muito rigoroso, faz com que as pessoas realmente aproveitem e saiam de suas casas quando o sol esquenta! E Troy tem um tempo muito louco. Um dia faz 10C e no outro 30C! Mas, estou adorando isso aqui e começando a me adaptar muito bem ao estilo de vida deles. Tudo muito prático, tudo muito simples e de fácil acesso. Mesmo numa cidade do interior como aqui! E por mais que a saudade esteja começando a bater (as comidinhas e saudade da familia) não estou com vontade nenhuma de ir embora!

One month already that I have been here! One month from the 8 I will be here. While it seemed to rush, sometimes I think it went really slow! I want it to be slow. I want to enjoy it as much as I can. So far, I am enjoying it here. Everything so different from Brazil. The architecture and the lifestyle. The practical life, the pretty gardens and the clean streets. Of course I have been missing some brazilian stuffs (the food and the family), but that is part of the process, right? I am here to learn and to live (almost) like an american and bring in with me what is worth! I am loving it so far and I am sure I will love it much more. (Especially when I be confident about my english listening part 😉 ) So, I will promise to share some picture while I am here and make it like a diary or something like that!

João Pessoa – Paraíba – Brasil
Last May I went to João Pessoa, located in the northeast of Brazil, in the state of Paraíba. It was my first time in the northeast region and I couldnt be more happy about it! Brazil is a huge country, full with different cultures and people. The northeast is so rich in culture and tradition, plus is always warm and sunny and with the amazing beaches. João Pessoa surprised me with the kindness of the people, the delicious food, the calm streets and amazing, breathtaken view. The sun always hard upon our head was a must! I know the post is full of pictures but that is the best part, isnt it?! (I edited these listening to Elba Ramalho – De Volta pro meu aconchego, if you feel like feeling the mood!)

This sunset is a must to see! The guy played while the sun set, we all watched in a bar deck. It was really amazing. It was in the Jacaré beach ( Praia do Jacaré), if you decide to go someday!

Ok. Here is the show of forró. Forró is a dance typical of this region and the dancers are dressed as Maria Bonita and Lampião, characters of their culture and history. Is fully amazing!

We took a boat and went to swim with fishes in a natural pool in the middle of the ocean. It was amazing and the highlight of my trip!
Our last sunset in the city. How I miss it! I only stayed 4 days but for sure I want come back again and enjoy more all the things I didnt see yet!
If you are planning to make a trip to somewhere sunny with very polite and nice people, João Pessoa is the place!
