CENTRAL PARK

DSC_0009

Finally I put up the NYC pics! I was a few days without lightroom to edit them…but better later than ever! I decided to split it in a few posts, because I took so many pics and I love all of them that I want share them all!
One word describes what NYC was for me: Fell at home. Freedom. (OK! It was more than just one word…but still ^^ )

So here is Central Park pictures. I loved this place, a huge park that I didnt see it all, even walking the entire afternoon! I loved the vibe of the place, the people enjoying the sun (So Damn hot above my head!) and everyone enjoying themselves…and NYC is so damn humid! What!
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Westerlo, NY

DSC_0117

Segue abaixo algumas fotos desse dia!

Last wekeend we went to explore a little place called Westerlo, near Albany. We went to a true Flea Market and then, we made this trail and saw this tiny fall. It was all sorts of amazing, at least for me! All the greens and peace and calm moments, the clean air…We are so used to the hush of the daily lives that sometimes we forget how good it is to be in touch with the nature. I am starting to find this adventure side of me and loving it! I am finding it hard to just sit around in the weekends and not go explore. Hope you all enjoyed the pictures!

Oh, Troy!

DSC_0036

A arquitetura principalmente!

One month already that I have been here! One month from the 8 I will be here. While it seemed to rush, sometimes I think it went really slow! I want it to be slow. I want to enjoy it as much as I can. So far, I am enjoying it here. Everything so different from Brazil. The architecture and the lifestyle. The practical life, the pretty gardens and the clean streets. Of course I have been missing some brazilian stuffs (the food and the family), but that is part of the process, right? I am here to learn and to live (almost) like an american and bring in with me what is worth! I am loving it so far and I am sure I will love it much more. (Especially when I be confident about my english listening part 😉 ) So, I will promise to share some picture while I am here and make it like a diary or something like that!

Troy, you have been lovely so far.

João Pessoa – Paraíba – Brasil

Last May I went to João Pessoa, located in the northeast of Brazil, in the state of Paraíba. It was my first time in the northeast region and I couldnt be more happy about it! Brazil is a huge country, full with different cultures and people. The northeast is so rich in culture and tradition, plus is always warm and sunny and with the amazing beaches. João Pessoa surprised me with the kindness of the people, the delicious food, the calm streets and amazing, breathtaken view. The sun always hard upon our head was a must! I know the post is full of pictures but that is the best part, isnt it?! (I edited these listening to Elba Ramalho – De Volta pro meu aconchego, if you feel like feeling the mood!)

This sunset is a must to see! The guy played while the sun set, we all watched in a bar deck. It was really amazing. It was in the Jacaré beach ( Praia do Jacaré), if you decide to go someday!DSC_0049-2

I was not kidding!

Ok. Here is the show of forró. Forró is a dance typical of this region and the dancers are dressed as Maria Bonita and Lampião, characters of their culture and history. Is fully amazing!

DSC_0079-2DSC_0142-2More of these! They are everywhere.

DSC_0157-2DSC_0165-2DSC_0221

We took a boat and went to swim with fishes in a natural pool in the middle of the ocean. It was amazing and the highlight of my trip!

DSC_0144-2DSC_0238-2DSC_0248-2Our last sunset in the city. How I miss it! I only stayed 4 days but for sure I want come back again and enjoy more all the things I didnt see yet!

If you are planning to make a trip to somewhere sunny with very polite and nice people, João Pessoa is the place!

Vale totalmente a pena ir e conhecer. Pessoas simpáticas e sol quente, praias calmas e vistas maravilhosas! Saudades!

Sister for life! {mini-session}

Is always a pleasure photograph this lovely lady, not only because the camera loves her but also, because she is my lovely sister.

Always willing to be photographed by me, to help me improve my clicks and willing to get through my crazy ideas only for a shot. I always say that the best friends are those that you dont need many words to comunicate, but only a look and thats it!

Thank you for always be up to my crazy ideas! Love you, amoreco!

Love is my favorite thing!

A luz, as risadas, o carinho.

Love is it. Simply love, giving yourself and let yourself receive the love back. And when we find this type of love in this confused and chaotic world, is a blessing, almost a miracle.

I had the pleasure to meet this couple and yet a big pleasure to photograph this especial moment of their lives. Photography is also love. When we capture these moments, that sometimes our memory can’t keep in details. Photography make us re-live. The light, the laugh, the tenderness.

To know that I was the one who captured this moment, make it even more especial to me. I wish all the happiness to this new couple and hope they always remember to love each other, like this day.

Turns on a dime

One month ago today I found this guy. Or he found me. It was a rainy thursday of february and a friend from work told me about a baby cat alone around the university neighborhood. Of course he knew I am crazy about cats. and of course more I went to “just see him”. I guess anyone knows the end? How could I let him alone there? So yellow with big blue eyes. Our destiny was sealed. I took him with me to the lab and later then, brought him home. Since then, seems a lifetime. I wont say is always easy. Hands down to those who grabs animals from the streets and treat them and let them brand new and healthy. Isn’t a easy job. But I know we dont have family and friends just for the easy parts, do we? Is for the best and the worst. And he is a champ, like me. I can see that…we were both alone. But now we have each other. I dont really know how it will be but I know I wont give up on him. Even if he drives me crazy sometimes…he really makes me laugh a lot more and I like to hear him purr on my lap, or how he receives me meowning when I arrive home.
